Unity Day is a brand-new tradition for San Bruno—a day dedicated to celebrating the diversity, culture, and community spirit that make our city unique. Hosted by the San Bruno Chamber of Commerce, the event highlights local businesses, artists, and cultural groups, and invites residents to come together for a day of connection and celebration.
This free, family-friendly event takes place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, across multiple downtown locations. It’s more than just a festival—it’s a chance to honor San Bruno’s past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future of our downtown.
San Bruno’s downtown has long been known as a quiet, “sleepy” town, but it’s filled with a rich mix of cultural businesses and true mom-and-pop shops that give it life and character. From family-owned restaurants like Mazra (Palestinian cuisine), Pho de Nguyen (Vietnamese), to community spaces like One Love Café and Chain Reaction Fitness, our businesses are run by local families who pour their passion and livelihoods into the neighborhood.
Unity Day celebrates this spirit, shining a spotlight on the diverse offerings that make downtown San Bruno so special.
San Bruno is home to an extraordinary community of artists and cultural leaders who inspire us with their creativity. From muralists who bring color to our streets, to poets like Antonio López of East Palo Alto is San Mateo County’s 2025-2027 Poet Laureate, to musicians, dancers, and performers who share their traditions, our city’s artistry is both rich and diverse.
Unity Day provides a stage for these voices, honoring the creativity that makes San Bruno not just a place to live, but a place to thrive.
Join us for a day of celebration and community.
